Two Pitchers Team Up As North Allegheny Tigers Varsity Defeats Taylor Allderdice In Shut-Out

• North Allegheny Tigers Varsity defeated Taylor Allderdice 11-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kevin Schott induced a groundout from Carter to finish off the game.
• North Allegheny Tigers Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Shane Murphy, Aaron Posey, and Cam Medic, a sac fly by Cole Young, and an error on a ball put in play by Jared Orwell.
• North Allegheny Tigers Varsity got on the board in the first inning.  Young's sac fly scored one run for North Allegheny Tigers Varsity.
• North Allegheny Tigers Varsity tallied six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Murphy, Posey, and Medic, a sac fly by Young, and an error on a ball put in play by Orwell.
• One bright spot for Taylor Allderdice was a single by Kennedy in the second inning.
• Anthony Hattrup was the winning pitcher for North Allegheny Tigers Varsity. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out five.  Schott threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
• Barca took the loss for Taylor Allderdice. He surrendered eight runs on five hits over three innings, striking out one.
• North Allegheny Tigers Varsity socked one home run on the day. Posey went deep in the third inning.
• North Allegheny Tigers Varsity racked up ten hits in the game.  Posey and Murphy each collected multiple hits for North Allegheny Tigers Varsity.  Posey led North Allegheny Tigers Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
